Smartthings Mimolite Garage Door

In the things menu i can read the current door status as well as open and close the door.

The mimolite garage door device type will allow me to open and control the garage door in the things section although the state is not correct and the configure button does nothing. I would like to use a mimolite to open close and provide the status of a garage door via smartthings. I don t know if this is linked to current reports. A switch on the door tells mimolite the current door status open or closed.

In doors and locks i can get it to show me the correct state i m just using a smartthings open close sensor however tapping the button does nothing. Initially i got the solution that johnconstantelo developed working with a magnetic switch that triggered when the door closed. I have a regular sears door opener with a button that either opens or closes the door.
